year 3 week 3
fashion friday
this week pip had her last day of school.
she LOVES school and wakes up in the morning asking if
it is a school day. i hope she doesn't ask all summer!
i can always tell the things she will love that
i find at the thrifts. she pulled the vintage sailor
dress out of the bag and put it on before i could wash it.
later in the day i noticed it still had the plastic tag on it!

year 3 week 2
fashion friday
i did some sewing this week but none of it
was for pip. i was busy making costumes for
her brothers play and musical.
i did get a dress cut out for next week.

year 3 week 1
year 3 week 1
we took a break last week so we could start year 3 on the first friday of the month.
{well plus we went on an unexpected road trip}
when i was a little girl my mom would sew a lot of my clothes.
she made this outfit for me when
i was a bout 3 years old. i am so happy i put it on pip before
she outgrows it. my mom saved a lot of my clothes and all of the
patterns she made me clothes from. my aunt sewed my cousins all of their
clothes also. she is unable to sew now so she gave me her
collection of children's patterns from the late 60's early 70's.
between the patterns my mom and my aunt passed down to me
and the few i have bought at the thrift stores i have dozens and
dozens of patterns. my goal for this year's pippi parade
is to try to sew outfits for pip from the many vintage patterns in my collection.
i can't promise it will be weekly so in between you will see some
of her vintage collection and wacky hand me downs.
i hope some of you will sew along and share
the items you made.
